Dr. Kerr received her medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine after earning a PhD in neurophysiology from the University of Virginia. She then completed her Pediatric and Neurology (Child/Adolescent) residencies at the University of Utah. She has been a physician at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Salt Lake City and University of Utah Health Sciences Center in the Division of Pediatric Neurology. She also was the pediatric neurologist for the Utah Department of Health's Child Development Clinic.
Dr. Kerr is currently a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Primary Children´s Hospital. She is very interested in helping families of children with special health care needs negotiate primary and subspecialty care. She is a co-director of the Headache Clinic at Primary Children’s Hospital and the Neuromuscular Clinic at Shriners Hospital. She is involved in the Medical Home Portal and was her Division's “Physician Champion” for the Medical Home Demonstration Project (CHIPRA). She also serves on the Clinical Advisory Board of the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation.
