Available to anyone needing help regarding a human trafficking situation or seeking information about human trafficking.

Provides a 24/7 reporting hotline (phone, text, live chat, email), information, and confidential referral to social and legal services for victims and survivors of human trafficking. The Hotline also receives tips about potential situations of sex and labor trafficking and facilitates reporting that information to the appropriate authorities in certain cases. The Hotline is operated by Polaris, a non-profit, non-governmental organization working exclusively on the issue of human trafficking. The Trafficking Hotline is not a government entity, law enforcement, or an immigration authority.

Homeless or at-risk youth (21 and under), parents who are struggling with their child, and concerned adults who work with children such as teachers, law enforcement personnel, agency staff, siblings, and other relatives.

Provides crisis intervention for youth who are thinking of running away or who have run away through helplines. Also provides message relay and conflict mediation between youth and parents and reunification assistance. Runaway prevention materials are also available to the community.

ADWAS & hotline advocates offer many ways to support callers as we can:

• brainstorm with callers ways to keep safe

Advocates can also work with Deaf and hearing friends and family members of Deaf survivors. Helpers can call us to learn more about intervention strategies and how to support survivors.

ADWAS also gives hearing domestic violence and sexual assault programs and shelters cultural training, support, education, and technical assistance to improve their accessibility for Deaf survivors. For shelters and programs that want training or information on working with Deaf survivors, they can contact us.

YouthLine is a free 24-hour teen-to-teen youth crisis and support service provided by Lines for Life (a non-profit that works to prevent substance abuse and suicide). YouthLine operates a national helpline that provides crisis support and referrals via call, text, and chat. The YouthLine is answered by teen volunteers daily from 4pm-10pm PST (and by adults at all other times). Translation services are available upon request. YouthLine also operates a peer-supported outreach program to destigmatize mental health challenges, increase awareness for mental health and wellness, and encourage youth to reach out for help.
