Individuals and family members may be eligible for UPP if they (or their children) are not currently covered by health insurance, individuals or their spouse are employed, their company offers health insurance and they are eligible for that insurance, they are a US citizen or legal resident, they fit within the income guidelines and the cost of the less expensive health insurance option is more than 5% of their total household income.

UPP helps working individuals and families pay their monthly health insurance premiums. If an employee's company offers health insurance, qualified individuals and families can receive monthly reimbursements for the cost of their employer-sponsored health insurance premium. If qualified, UPP will pay up to $300 per adult and up to $120 per child each month.
