Pediatric Clinical Nutrition Center specializes in treating complex gastrointestinal, liver, or growth disorders and provide nutritional support when necessary.

Conditions and Treatment:

  • Not gaining weight
  • Cannot or do not eat enough
  • Do not tolerate what they eat
  • Depend on tube feeding (NG, NJ or gastrostomy)
  • Have respiratory problems associated with their eating
  • Have genetic, medical or surgical problems impairing their nutrition
  • Have an inability to sustain normal weight gain
  • Depend on intravenous nutrition(parenteral nutrition)
  • Gaining weight too fast

Follow-up Nutrition (FUN) Clinic for children and youth with failure to thrive, elevated cholesterol, and other nutritional problems, offers a team approach for children with a variety of nutritional problems. Team members include a pediatric gastroenterologist, a pediatrician, nurse coordinator, registered dietitian, and clinical social worker.

Dysphagia Clinic for children with feeding problems.

EDDY clinic for children with elimination disorders.

Liver clinic which is part of a liver transplant program.

Pediatric Food Allergy Eosinophilic (FED) Clinic focuses on eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (including eosinophilic esophagitis, eosinophilic gastroenteritis and/or eosinophilic colitis). This clinic sees children who have been previously diagnosed with an eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorder, via an endoscopy or colonoscopy with biopsy.
