Works to establish equal rights for people with disabilities through enforcement of federal and state laws. DRAC advocates for legislative action and other measures to improve these rights, with an emphasis on fair housing, accessible transportation, and community-based care. DRAC is a case management provider for the New Choices Waiver (NCW) program sponsored by the Utah Department of Health.

Advocates for people with developmental, cognitive, intellectual and related disabilities and their families through support, outreach, education and legislation.

A non-residential center for independent living designed for people of all ages and disabilities. Controlling one's life and minimizing dependence on others are essential for independent living. All services are demand-driven through the consumer requesting the service. Provides services to individuals with disabilities to facilitate their full participation in the community and raise the understanding of disability issues and access to the community. Five core services and additional support programs/services are provided depending on the needs of the individual with the disability. Additional services include disability related transportation, assistive technology equipment loans, health/disability related support groups and social clubs, peer to peer networking, disability rights groups, special education/comprehensive information and referral, in home developmental disabilities habilitation programs, and ADA implementation assistance.COVID-19 UPDATE: Following all CDC and state guidelines.

Works with Brain Injury Alliance of Utah

Support and services for students with disabilities, ages 3-22; assessment, instructional support, and transition services; links to community organizations and school districts; and information about school rules and reports, events, and services.

The purpose of the Utah Statewide Independent Living Council (USILC) is to:

• Develop and expand independent living programs and philosophy on a statewide basis. 
• Develop and submit the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) in conjunction with the Directors of the state Independent Living Centers and the Designated State Entity (DSE). 
• Hold hearings, forums, and conduct surveys to determine statewide independent living needs.
• Monitor, review, and evaluate implementation of the SPIL
• Coordinate activities with the State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) and other councils, agencies, and organizations that address the needs and issues of the disability population.
• Act as a resource to public and private entities regarding issues relating to people with disabilities.
• Advocate for independent living.

Provides free, expert, and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and disability employment issues. For both employers and employees, Accommodation Information by Disability: A to Z; and Accommodation Ideas by Disability, Limitation, Occupation, Product or Service, and Topic.

Consultants offer one-on-one guidance on workplace accommodations, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related legislation, and self-employment and entrepreneurship options for people with disabilities.

Promotes progressive policies, sound research, effective practices, and universal human rights for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

UCP and its 64 affiliates have a mission to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with a broad range of disabilities by providing services and support to more than 176,000 children and adults every day. UCP has worked to ensure the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in every facet of society. UCP will continue to push for the social, legal and technological changes that increase accessibility and independence, allowing people with disabilities to dream their own dreams.
