College Disability Centers

Serves students of BYU who have disabilities.
* We review documentation from students who have been previously diagnosed with physical, hearing, learning, attention and emotional concerns to assist in determining appropriate academic accommodations for their classes.
* We evaluate student's who may have learning, attention or emotional concerns which may prohibit them from reaching their full potential.

Serves students with disabilities by providing equal access to DSU academic programs, non-academic activities, and campus facilities to facilitate and promote student participation, success, retention and graduation. Responsible for evaluating disability documentation, determining eligibility, and implementing reasonable accommodations for students who have disabilities that may affect their academic success.

Disability Resource Center (DRC) is to foster student inclusion into the SLCC Community through teaching independence, self-advocacy, and responsibility while maintaining an environment that promotes personal, educational and social growth.

Direct assistance to students to encourage and enhance their independence, ongoing cooperative efforts to develop and maintain an accessible physical environment, and educational efforts to create a supportive psychological environment so students can achieve their educational objectives. Evaluates disability documentation, determines eligibility, and implements reasonable accommodations for enrolled students as guided by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and University policy.

Provide qualified persons with disabilities equal access to University programs, services and activities as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act and Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Can provide assistance to disabled students with staff trained to provide the most suitable accommodations for any given disability.

Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m

Provide information and referral to local disability supports that are beneficial to individuals with developmental delays. Information and referral assistance with completing paperwork for needed supports. Provide a one to one service navigator to assist/advocate for needed supports.

Support disadvantaged students who have potential to meet the challenges of higher education by strengthening and developing their academic and self-management skills.

Provides services and accommodations, in accordance with the ADA Laws and Regulations, to traditional, as well as non-traditional students seeking services and educational opportunities at USU Eastern.

Provides support and services to students with disabilities who are overcoming different educational difficulties because of their individual challenges.

Westminster College seeks to provide equal access in higher education to academically qualified students with physical, learning, and psychiatric disabilities. Disability Services works with departments throughout the college to help ensure that programs and facilities are accessible to all members of the college community. A University support center for students with autism spectrum disorder, Objectives include:
- facilitate diagnostic support for UVU students
- serve as first point of contact for families in Utah County and provide service coordination & resource support for Autism Spectrum Disorder
- provide training to UVU, community partners, educators, families with individuals with an ASD, and to individuals with ASD
- provide transition programming for current and potential UVU students with an ASD (Passages Program)
- solicit university, community, and parent input to support ongoing effective operations and partnerships

Think College is a national organization dedicated to developing, expanding, and improving inclusive higher education options for people with intellectual disability.

• College Search: Searchable directory of college programs for students with intellectual disability. Search by name, location, and keywords.
• Resource Library: Think College creates and curates a variety of resources on topics related to postsecondary education for people with intellectual disability.
• Family Resources: Information about planning, preparing, and applying for college.

Provides a four year postsecondary curriculum of study to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Services Include:

• Person Centered Planning
• Support staff attends the class with the student
• Additional assistance through a two hour support class.
• Work specialty area. Most students are placed on-campus with a support staff member in their first year and gradually they have the opportunity to explore off campus placements.
• Students live on and off campus.

Students completing their four years with the Mason LIFE Program will graduate with a George Mason Certificate of Completion with a catalog concentration and a work specialty area.

Provides higher education to who learn differently, including students with a learning disability (such as dyslexia), ADHD, autism, or executive function challenges.
